There are several different choices when choosing to buy a salvage vehicle on the open market. It could be that the entity that stole the car removed parts that are valued higher than the value of the entire vehicle. This may be the case in modern vehicles where parts are very costly.

These are cars that have been in accidents and are at present time not registered. These are usually cars that insurance companies have paid off to the owner because of the upside-down car value.
